Beacon Blues

Today’s assignment took place at the Magnolia airport where the old tower beacon was removed and a new one installed. Pretty much boiler-plate shooting under a hard blue sky. The only interesting aspect of this shoot was that I utilized Richard’s two-camera method: on one Nikon, I had the prime f/1.8 35mm lens and on the other Nikon, I had the f/2.8 70-200mm telephoto lens. Photos were serviceable but unremarkable; this one was pretty indicative of them all. (f/9.0, ISO 200, 70mm).

Workers raise the new airport beacon for installation on the tower. I kind of got a neck ache shooting this extreme angle with the heavy lens.
