Fully engaged/taking the plunge

Christa and I were hired to take engagement photos this past weekend for a couple here in Magnolia. We visited two different locations on the shoot: a set of railroad tracks (for the most part abandoned) and a farm in a small town just north of here called McNeil. When I say small, I mean, blink and you miss it. McNeil is to rural as New York City is to metropolitan. We do, however, have some connections up there, in the form of the owners of a large farm where we were invited to come and take photos. They have a pond with a zipline over it, which came in very handy for some unexpected “action” photos. And, they brought out their Model-T Ford, which made for some nicely romantic, “old-timey” images. Also, the farm has an amazingly large oak tree, so ancient (and unbelievably huge) that it almost gives off a Middle-Earth-type of aura. We had fun, but Christa got the majority of “official” engagement art, so I’ll leave those to her and post only a few of my peripheral, just-for-the-hell-of-it-shots. (Side note: they got an actual buffalo at this farm, and I’m going back some time to get a picture.)
